Plans For Affair.
Plans are now being made for the annual f&ll tea and flower
show given every year by the members of -the Klamath Falls
Women's Library club and the Garden dub.
This year the event will take place on Saturday afternoon,
September 8, at the Library clubrooms. A feature of the after
noon will be a fall revue of fashions with the theme of the meet
ing being "Fashions and Flow-
ers.
A musical program will also
be presented.
The Garden club has an
nounced that anyone Interested
ir. making a display of their
flowers, vegetables or weeds is
invited to do so. whether thev
are members of the Garden club
or not. The arrangements will
not enter in a comDetitive con
test this year but will be for
display only.
Klamath Falls Library and
Garden club members are also
invited to the silver tea and dis
play of war trophies to be held
on this Sunday. August 19, at
2 p. m. at Merrill when the Lost
River Garden club will sponsor
the affair.
Women are also invited to
bring trophies they have re
ceived from someone overseas
and display them at the meeting.

p m. they gathered for a pot

with Ruth Stanley, Bertha
Bishop and Stella Dryden hold

the next meeting has not yet

Mrs. James Kerns of 446 La
guna are Mrs. Bob H. Napier
and Mrs. H. Wendell Patch,
both of Salem. Mrs. Kerns has
been visiting recently in The
Dalles and Salem and she and
young daughter Betty Jean
were accompanied home by the
two Salemites.
Mrs. Napier is the former
Peggy Hay who will be remem
bered as a teacher at Klamath
Union high school several years
ago. Her husband, Lt. Napier,
is on duty with the army, in
Italy.
Lt. Col. Patch is with the
10th air force in China at the
present.
The two women will remain
here until August 24 when they
will, return to their homes in
Salem.
