A special feature of the Zion Lutheran Bible school be- sinnlns Monday at 9 a. m. win be the showing of Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress' througli film projection. The vacation Bible school, which will last two weeks, will teach a complete course of study covering the .main parts of the Bible through the use of film projection, flan nclgraph and workbooks. Ses sions will be held each morn ing, Monday through Friday, from 9 to 11:30 a. m. A delegation of Salvation Army young people from Klam- Btn rails ana jueaiora are at tending a camping session at Lake o' the Woods. A program f health, education, inspiration nd fun is part of the daily schedule of classes conducted by qualified supervisors. Morning classes consist of Bible study archery, handcrafts and nature hikes, while the afternoons are taken up by a rest period, free time, swimming, boating, and other sports. At the nightly campfire, there are song festi, stunts and amateur perform ances by the young people. Co- camp directors are Major ana Mrs. W. Boswall from Klamath ij-alls. 3 The Vesper service of the .Presbyterian church will be han dled by the young people who have recently returned from the 2Tir Point conferences. The pro gram will feature the activities jpf the conference. j "Youth for the Kingdom," a Christian motion picture, has Sboen prepared by the Lutheran jjehurch and will be presented at the Mills school auditorium on Sunday evening, July 22, at 8 p. m. This full-length picture deals with the problem of the draining and guiding of the com ing generation. Cargo Sailings To Hawaii Planned SEATTLE, July 20 (P) Plans for fortnightly sailings between Seattle, Tacoma, Portland and the Hawaiian islands by a fleet of fast new cargo ships after the war are being made by the Mat' son Navigation company, C, B, warren, northwest manager, said yesterday, Traveling time from the Pa cific northwest to Hawaii would be cut to six days and cargo capacity would double under the plans, he said. Other new ves sels of a slower type, would sail every two or three weeks from northwest ports with lumber for the islands. The framework of the church. which was started in February, is about two-thirds complete and work on the church should be finished by Thanksgiving. The church will be of brick with a shingled roof. Work is being done entirely by volunteer labor from the 600 members of the local Mormon church and will cost from $60. 000 to $80,000 when completed. The church construction is un der the supervision of Lawrence Wortley. Vets Listed Good College Material PORTLAND. July 20 UPW- Ex-servicemen will make good college students, two Grinnell college officials said here, be cause they are mor mature and have "definite objectives." Earl Strong, faculty dean at the Iowa school said some of the veterans will be married and this, in turn, will imnrove their college record.
