The Atchlsons own the Keno store. Mrs. C. H. McKccn and tam- Hy moved to their new home at Talent, June 23. Elsie Griffith, who has been living in Kcno for two or three months, since her return to Ore gon from Florida, left for her parents' home in Klnmath Falls on Saturday, June 30. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kerns of Harbor, Ore., visited relatives in the Keno community for about a week in June, Their younger son, H. Benjamin L. Kerns, on furlough from Liberal, Kas was here with his parents. Mrs. Leo Hotliday, chairman of the Keno district for the bond drive, was in Keno on Thursday of last week getting sales re ports, in giving the names of Mrs. Holliday's co-workers in a previous news report, Mrs. John Kerns' name was omitted. Mrs. Kerns lives on the Klamath Falls-Kcno highway. Harvey Denham, principal of is.eno scnoois, was 'in Kcno ono day Inst week. Lt. Robert D. Puckelt and his wife and baby visited in Kcno two days this week. Lt. Puckett arrived at the home of his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Puckett of Tulolake. on Monday morn' ing from the east. Puckett cx pects to be home until the latter part of August before reporting for re-assignment. He returned to the States early In Juno from Germany, where he had been held a prisoner of war. Mai in Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vacknitz have moved to the home of the late Anton Polivka. Vacknitz operates a local service station. J. J. Maclnerney, Portland father of Mrs. Hazel Kalina and Mrs. Irene Freitag, left Sunday to return nome. r.c accomparv icd Mayor A. Kalina north Maclnerney submitted some weeks ago to a critical opera' tion and was here convalescing, Mrs. Frank Paygr has te- turned from Portland where she visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Storli. Mrs. Paygr has taught for several years in the Malin high school. "Butch," 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Rodgers was painfully injured recently while playing on a slide on the playground at the elementary school building. The equipment turned over with the child, striking him on the head and rendering him unconscious. Sev eral stitches were taken to close the gash in his head. Mrs. W. C. Dalton and daugh ter, Betty Lou, have returned from San Francisco and San Raphael, where Miss Dalton is studying at St. Dominican col lege. They came from Williams Held, Phoenix, Ariz., where he has been stationed with the air corps. At the end of a 23-dny furlough they will return to Phoenix. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Dalton had as a guest over tho Fourth their son-in-law, Lt. (j.g.) Tom E. Wll lis, who has returned from over seas service in the Pacific. He has served in charge of a gun crew on the Winnlticld S. Strat ton. Liberty ship, and was here for just four days. He was met upon ins arrival in ban Fran cisco by his wife, Louise Dalton Willis, who with her two chil dren.
