CASE TO ARRIVE Judge Charles Combs, Lake county Judge assigned to hear tho case of the state of Oregon vs. Earl Heuvel, is expected to arrlvo in Klamath Fulls tomor row. It is understood that Combs has some pending cases to hear, but that Heuvel will probably be arraigned on morals charges either Tuesday or Wednesday. Combs will bo here three days. Heuvel is held in the Klamath county Jail awaiting arraign ment and trial, . Eugene Resident Dies At Home J. W. Plxley, a resident of Eugene for tho past 30 years, died there on Sunday, July 8, according to word received hore. He waa the father of Mrs. Louis Serruys of this city. Besides his wife he is sur vived by his daughter, Mrs. Serruys ot Klamath Falls, a son Everett of Pittsburgh, Penn., and a granddaughter, Lynn Pf--i!sy of Pittsburgh. Funeral services wUl take place at the Poole-Larsen Fun eral home in Eugene on Tues day, July 10, at 2 p. m. Various federal and state agencies were represented at the meeting where specific plans were discussed for organizing men for fire work, communica tions, and dispatching men to various control centers. Those present included E. P. Leavltt, superintendent of Crater -Lake national park; Thomas C. Parker, assistant su perintendent of Crater Lake; M. S, Lowdcn, assistant supervisor of Fremont national forest; Rus sell Bower, Modoc national for est; Con C. Fisher, custodian of the Lava Beds national monu ment; H. H. Local Man Involved In Auto Accident Glenn Tubach, 2143 Hope, was involved in a motor acci dent with a car driven by John Williams of Klamath Falls on Friday at 11:30 a. m. on high way 30 nine miles south of Klamath Falls. Williams was parked on the side of the road and pulled out onto the highway without warn ing into the path of the on coming truck, according to an accident report. The truck side swiped the other vehicle in an effort to avoid it. Williams was injured slightly. Butchers Purchase . Ho served 12 years in con gress, from 1003. Murdock was appointed to the federal trade commission by President Woodrow Wilson in 1017 and served with that agency seven years, resigning to return as editor oi the Eagle. He is survived by his brother. Marcellus M. Murdock, publisher of the Eagle, and two daughters, Mrs. Howard Flccson, Wichita, and Mrs. Harvey Delano, San Francisco. GIRL BREAKS PELVIS Jackie May Murphy, 8-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Murphy of 722 Doty, was seriously injured when she fell under the wheels of a car at Crescent City where' she was spending the Fourth of July with her parents. At the time of the accident the car was be ing driven along the beach by Murphy with Jackie perched on the fender. As the car hit a depression in the beach, Jackie was thrown under the wheels. Reports received this morning Indicate that she is suffering from a broken pelvis bone. She has not yet been placed in a cast because infection has set in.
