GUESTS FARE WELL E According to a report from tha county clerk's office, 4857 registered electors have been cancelled due to failure to vote In either the May or November, 1044 elections. Notices were mulled by the county clerk's office to the ad drew given on the registration card and 4897 were returned unclaimed by various post of fices. A total of 280 were listed as deceased and were automatical ly cancelled. According to the May list of registered voters, there were 20, 837 in Klamath county and the cancellations leave 15,720 regis tered voters In this county. Improving Mayor Ed Oaten dorf, who underwent surgery at Klamath Valley hospital Satur day is steadily improving but is still not allowed to have vis itors. Gen. Robert E. HEAVY TRAVEL TO Motor travel to Crater Lake, national park was heavier on the Fourth of July than it has been at any other time during tha war, according to E. P. Leavltt, park superintendent. Ellis was arrested by city ptv lice Monday morning at 410 Oak where he was allegedly attack ing a. four-year-old boy, whose mother rushed to the boy's as sistance and held the man unltn police arrived. Ellis was arrested and charged . with drunkenness, later a charge of sodomy was Drougnt against him by the district attorney's of-, fice and he has been transferred to the county jail. '.
