Ferriss gained his sixth straight victory and his fourth shutout as he limited the Chi cago White Sox to one hit, a single by Tony Cuccinello, to help the Red Sox take a twin bill yesterday, 7-0 and 2-1. Em mett O'Neill turned in a two hitter to complete the - twin triumph. The Sox rookie righthander has drawn nearly 65,000 persons in three home appearances. Cooper paid his first dividend to the Braves on their reported $50,000 investment by blanking Cincinnati, 4-0, in the opener of a doubleheader with the Reds, who took the nightcap, 5-0, be hind the three-hit pitching of Bucky Walters. Cooper, ace righthander obtained from the St. Louis Cardinals last week, gained his third triumph with out a setback by holding, the Reds to four hits. According to tne boys wno have seen him wrestle, Maioney is a rough, tough, crowd-pleasing muscle-bender. He has wrestled quite a bit on the southern circuit and reports of his prowess have spread even to Klamath. Dusette is a well-known lad in Klamath. Two weeks ago he was paired in the main event with Gorgeous George Wagner, where Gorgeous .dropped him two out of three falls mucn. to the disgust of the crowd which was with Dusette because of Gorgeous' mean tactics.
