One Killed, Two Hurt In Auto Accident BEND, May 28 (P) After calling vainly for help for seven hours, Joe Thompson, Bend farm worker, extricated himself from an overturned automobile in which his mother-in-law was killed and his wife seriously in jured. Mrs. Asa Toothacher, Ontario, died Sunday when the auto driven by Thompson crashed through guard posts at Bend's north city limit and rolled into a dry concrete canal.
