Beers, manager of E. 1. DuPont DcNcmoura and compony'a plant, announced. Possibility that one man lost his life In the building was being checked, he sold. The mon nor mally would have been the only employe in the building at tho time. Beers sold. He estimated the damage at about $10,000. Banker Raps State Record In Mental Care PORTLAND. S. bureau of recla mation sent word to County Judge J. H. Hcckman that It would match county and state monies with an equal amount of federal money. This makes $18, 000 to be used in the surveying of streams, drilling of dam sites and other necessary work to control tho streams In the valley. According to the bureau, field surveys will be conducted this summer and fall, but the actual drllllni; of dam sites cannot be undertaken until 1046. After the surveys are com pleted, estimates of tho actual amount of construction and work to be dono to control the valley streams and flood waters will bo made, and the biggest portion of this work will be car ried out as a postwar project. This controlling of tho waters will be a big boon for ranchers and farmers, as the early spring run-off can be held back and stored for irrigation purposes to be used when tile moisture is needed. This would also mean that more marginal land around Goose lake could be reclaimed and put to pasture. REALLY HAD TROUBLE OPAL. Wyo May 16 (IP) While Alox Beragnolli was mak ing an adjustment on it, his car caught fire. A gunny sack used to beat the flames ignited. Alex threw the sack away and it landed on a five-gallon can of gasoline. The can exploded and Beragnolli's clothing ignitod from the flaming gasoline.
