He was graduated from John Carroll university at Cleveland in 1942, a major in philosophy, and en listed in the marine corps in April of that year. Captain Byrne served overseas with the third marine division and saw service at Guadalcanal, and in the New Georgia group. In June he reported to the Marine Barracks here and is officer in charge of the bachelor officer quarters. Soroptimist House s Leased The Soroptimist dub has just completed a successful year in the maintenance of the Soroptimist House, and has renewed its lease for two years on the home at 73 Pine street. Providing tem porary quarters for the families of men stationed at the Marine Barracks and the Klamath naval air station, this project has been of real service to many visitors in Klamath Falls.
