Stans- burg Jr.. U. S. Marine Corps. The Reverend David B. Ander son officiated at the ceremony which took place at five o'clock at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William N. Hall, of the Arcade hotel. For her wedding, the bride chose an aqua gown trimmed in gold, with maching accessories. Both the bride and groom were unattended. Guests who were invited to the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. William N. Luncheon Given LANGELL VALLEY Mrs. Mary Dearborn of Bonanza en tertained with a one o clock luncheon on March 12, in honor of Mrs. Nellie Dean of Portland. Guests included Mrs. Dean, Mrs. Owen Pepple, Mrs. Harry Fra zler, Mrs. Mary Smith, Mrs. Les ter Leavitt and Mrs. Dearborn, the hostess. The ladies enjoyed a social afternoon, and sewing followed the luncheon. , 5 Party and Dance In observance of the twenty- sixth birthday of the American Legion, the local post, number 8, held a gala party and dance at the Legion hall on Tuesday evening, March . 20. The cock tail hour from eight to nine was followed by an auction sale of many nard to get items, such as candy, gum and cigarettes. The dance floor held a capac ity crowd, with music furnished by local orchestra. During the course of the evening, lovely three-tiered birthday cake was presented to the Legionnaires by tne lames oi tne auxiliary. A buffet supper served later, and the curfew regulation was ob served with "lights out" at 12 midnight. . 8 8 8 Daughters Meet A .group of Catholic Daugh ters met at the home of Mrs. Dick Miller Sr. on Thursday, March 15. After a potluck lunch eon, the afternoon was spent in sewing on Red Cross laprobes, and a great deal was accomp lished. Those attending the meeting were Mrs. Francis Manning and Willie, Mrs. Mike Lavenik, Mrs. R. B. Grey, Mrs. Stanley Pieser, and Judy. Mrs. Louise Vaughn, Mrs. W. G. Fox, the former Elaine Carden, have returned to San Francisco after spending several days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W, L. Carden of 2033 Madison in Klamath Falls. Mr. Fox is on leave from the Philippines area. Luncheon As a courtesy to Mrs. Antone Schlro of Snlem, formerly of this city, Mrs. Robert A. Stephens was hostess at a one o clock luncheon Wednesday afternoon at her home on Wlard. Covers were laid for Mrs. Schiro, Mrs. E. Reinhart, Mrs. Chester Hnmakor, Mrs, C. Page, Mrs. A. Vahl, Mrs. W. Holcomb and tho hostess. Mrs. Schiro, who has also been visiting in Sacramento, spent Wednesday here, leaving that evening for Canby, Calif,, where her mother resides. First Party' MALIN Friends and rela tives of little Bobbjt Dean King gathered at the home of ms par ents. Mr. and Mrs. Dean King of Malln, to honor him on his birthday on Friday. March 9. The guests included Mrs. Elsie Durkee and Tony Durkee of San Francisco, - aunt and cousin of the guest of honor, Mrs, Mary Brothanek, his great-grandmother. Mrs. Tony Vlctorine, his grandmother, Mary Vlctor ine, Uetilla BrotnaneK, Martna Brothanek, Dickie and Sammy Carlton, Helen Carlton and Margie Monfore. The youngsters played games, while the adults enjoyed an aft ernoon of cards, after which cake and ice cream were served to the group. Conger PTA The Joseph Conger PTA held an election of officers at their meeting on March 21. Those who will serve are Mrs. E. G. Child ers, president; Mrs. W. K. C h a r 1 esworth, vice-president; Mrs. F. F. Kelsay, secretary and Mrs. Glen Brumble. treasurer. The guest speaker was the Reverend David Barnett of the First Presbyterian church, who spoke on the subject, "What To Do With Our Children," and was very enthusiastically received. Four delegates were elected to attend the Ashland conference on April 17, after which refresh ments were served by the host esses, Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Frey and Mrs. Estin. The gingerbread house which was made by a prisoner of war at Camp' White, and sent to Klamath Falls, bv Mrs. Hugh O'Connor of Malln, was on dis play to the members.
