SAN ANTONIO' AVIATION CADET CENTER, Tex At the San Antonio aviation cadet center, officers of the Central Flying Training Command are attending the officers command and training school to prepare for key administrative and com mand assignments. During the four-week course at this AAF training command unit, the officers study admin istration, combat operations, physical training techniques and general military training. The present class includes Second Lieutenant Robert Sloan Jr., 014 Lincoln street. Klamath Falls. PARKER RECOVERS THE 317TH STATION HOS- PITAL. ENGLAND Pvt. Em ery Parker, 24, of Beatty, has recovered at this United States hospital from wounds received at Schmidt on January 12, 1043. While at this hospital, he re ceived expert medical care, fol lowed by a period of convales cence. He has now been released for a return to duty. Pvt. Parker is a member of an infantry unit. He entered the army on May 17, 1043. His wife, Esther, lives at Beatty. Sgt. Clifford V. Potrie of Shevlin, Is a tank driver with the 4th tank battalion of the fifth army in Italy. His outfit fought on through Grosseto, Montecatlni and Vol terra and helped bridge the Arno river. Heat milk until bubbles form around edge: add water and cool to lukewarm. Add crumbled yeast, sugar and salt, stirring until yeast is dissolved; add beaten egg, then flour mixture all at once. Add butter or margarine, raisins and cur rants and work until dough "leaves side of bowl. Turn out on lightly floured board, knead gently until : smooth, about 3 minutes. Place dough in greased bowl, cover with damp cloth. Let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 2 hours. . Remove from bowl onto i lightly ' floured board. Shape into ball; place on floured board; divide into four portions; shape each into ball; cover with damry cloth; and let stand 15 . minutes. Divide each ball into 8 mall ones; place on greased baking sheet 2 inches apart; cover; and let rise- until almost double in bulk. ' Brush with egg wash (1 egg yolk beaten with 3 tablespoons water); . cut shallow crosses with scissors on top of each roll. Bake 5 minutes in moderately hot oven. 025 F.); re duce to moderate oven (350 F.); and bake 15 ta20 ininutes longer, ot until done.
