TWO HERALD AND NEWS Saturday. March 17, IMS FULL MILITARY HONOR S GIVEN IN A full military funeral was accorded Cpl. Charles Leonard Snapp, United States army air corps, who was killed Saturday, March 3, in the crash of a B-24 Liberator bomber at Mountain Home, Ida., as the Marine Bar racks took charge of the re mains at Linkville cemetery this afternoon. Services were conducted by Rev. R. C. Aldcrson for the 20-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Snapp of Merrill, at the Merrill Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock today. Immediately after, a marine aeiacnmem ui some 40 men, accepted the re- mains of Cpl. Snapp at the Linkville cemetery. The post band in full strength stood by as Chaplain i Graham Gilmer, Marine Barracks, officiated. Eight pall bearers and eight hon orary pall bearers attended and a 24-man armed escort standing in two rows, fired the three volleys as the final salute in the impressive ceremony. The band played "Taps" ai the body of the airman was lowered. This was the first military funeral conducted here by the Marine Barracks. Participation in the rites came at the re quest of Cpl. Snapp's family. Ward's Klamath Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Feed, Seed Men to Cancel Convention PORTLAND.
