Committee Meets A meeting of the chamber of commerce elec tion committee was held Wed nesday morning to work out de tails of the election of directors for the coming fiscal year which commences May 1. Skiing Sgt. Richard Thomas, marine representative in the chamber of commerce, has left on a three-day leave'. He has gone skiing with a party of ma rines to Crater Lake national park. Books Donated to Aid Elks' Drive Book donations have started in the Klamath Elks' effort to provide at least 1000 volumes for the merchant marine, coast guard and lighthouse service. Elks in cha. e urged that further donations be made as soon as possible. The books may be left at the Associated Service station Main at 4th, Texaco Service station, S. 6th near Shas ta, Texaco station at Prospect and Upham, and Union station. Main and llth. Brothers Fined For Venison Possession Robert L. Dehm and his broth er, Alfred Clyde Dehm, appeared In Justice court Tuesday and en tered pleas of guilty to the charge of illegal possession of venison during closed season. State police officers filed the complaints. Robert was fined $50 and his brother $100 and costs. Justice J. A. Mahoney suspended $50 of the latter's fine. To Grants Pass Mrs. W. K. Gillcn leaves tonight to attend a district extension meeting at Grants Pass Thursday. From there she will go to Portland to attend the BPW meeting.
