OF FRE1BH T RATES OPEN The Oregon public utilities commissioner has started a sur vey of freight rates affecting Klamath Falls and other Ore gon points in this vicinity, it was reported to the board of directors of the chamber of commerce this week by Charles Stark, secretary. Ho . said that the Klamath rate problem was presented to representatives of the PUC on a visit here. The survey will take some time, Stark stated, because comparative figures from other states must be ob tained. Chamber directors emphasiz ed at their luncheon this week that the chamber is not on record in any way in connec tion with a report that the army engineers have considered a possible drainage project for lands around Upper Klamath and Agency lakes. Tho chamber has made in quiry concerning this survey, and is asking the army en gineers and the fish and wild life service for further informa tion.
