MARINE SHOW ENTERTAINS ROTARY GLUB The marine entertainment crew, under supervision of PFC Dick Nason, program airecior, put on a half-hour variety show beiore approximaieiy iw tarians and guests, including U S. Senator Guy Cordon, at the Wlllard hotel banquet hall at noon today. The entertainment was ar ranged for the Rotary luncheon bv Capt. F. G. Lewis, band of ficer, and Capt. Jack Salesky, recreation officer, of tne Dar- racks. Sgt. Cliff Harp, comedian and former night club master of ceremonies, did a poiisnea jod as master of ceremonies for the show, aided by Comedian PFC Robert Pease. Highlight of the variety program was PFC Carl Hagle's tenor rendition of "Dan ny Boy," which met the highest approval of the appreciative au- aience. The marine dance orchestra, conducted by Tech. Sgt. Julius J. Zamzow, played several num bers, including "Boogie Woogie" and "Sho' 'Nuf," and accom panied Vocalists Sgt. Lawrence Biancnard ana rm urea ui-rard. Harp and Pease kept up a running fire of laugh-producing jokes, imitations and pantomime between numbers. The group's Irish tenor, Cpl. Jack Mahoney, sang "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling," accompanied by Cpl. Donn Steen, who also played a solovox number. The program ended with the band playing and singing the marine anthem. Senator Guy Cordon, who will address a meeting arranged by the forums committee of the chamber of commerce at the Willard hotel this evening, was a guest of the club. A golf tournament between the Kiwanis and Rotary clubs will be held at the Reames course Sunday, it was an nounced. B. E. Hayden of the Klamath reclamation service, will speak to Rotary next week.
