Mills home for the past three weeks, left Wednesday by train for' San Francisco where she will spend a week with her sister beforo returning to her duties os superintendent of the Lava Hot Springs hospital in Idaho. Mrs. Luce was one of tho first nurses In Klamath Falls, com ing hero in 1000. She was the superintendent of tho old Black burn hospital In the hot springs area hero and left about 20 years ago. Whllo here recently she visit ed with many old friends. Soroptimists Tho Soroptlmist club will not hold any more regular meetings until September 7, but with tho Soroptlmist house a going pro ject tho members will bo busy and contacts frequent. ' Mrs. Roso Poole, the Klam ath Falls delegate to the Sor optlmist's National Federation convention in St. Louis, has Just returned and was greeted by members at their Thursday meeting In tho Pelican cafe. The Tulelake Cadettes are a group of girls from the Tule lako area who have devoted most of their spare time to the entertainment ond comfort of servicemen in that district; . They .have opened' rooms where -the boys may come -and enjoy a wholesome, home atmosphere. Hundreds of men from all branches of the service have taken advantage of the op portunity to make themselves at home here. ' For the wedding the brlda wu Legion Danct Fifty servicemen from the Marine Barracks and the Klam ath naval air station were enter tained Friday night at a party given for them by the American Legion. Hostesses for the evening were a number of Junior Hostesses. The Junior Hostess group is an organization which appears at various servicemen's dances. The group is sponsored by the city military entertainment commit tee and the girls are taken into the group upon character refer ences given by the dean of wom en at the high school and from other reliable sources. ' Complimented Barbara Schultz entertained at her home on South Sixth street Friday evening honoring Phyllis Hutchins who has Just arrived here to make her home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hutchins of Lincoln street.
