miere showing of the 20th Cen
tury Fox picture, "The Eve of St.
Mark," at the Pelican theatre
Wednesday night of the coming
week.
Tickets obtained through pur
chase of war bonds will be the
admission for attendance at this
outstanding program, and no
seats will be for sale in any
other way.
A 20-minute local prologue
has been arranged by the Fifth,
War Loan specialty committee.!
Tickets may be obtained on I
any war bond purchase between '
June 17 and June 28. The bond, j
or proof of bond purchase, may!
be taken to the Pelican bond'
booth or the bond headquarters!

"The Eve of St. Mark" is the i

by Maxwell Anderson. As a play, j
it naa a recora run on Broadway.
The stars in the film are Anne
Baxter, William Eythe and Mich
ael O'Shea, and John M. Stahl
directed the production.

paper salvage pick-up day in
Klamath Falls.
The junior chamber of com
merce announced today that
trucks will cover all city and su
burban areas to collect bundled
paper which householders are
asked to place on curbs and road
sides. "We hope to make this the big
gest single day In the whole pa
Pr salvage project In Klamath
county " said Marvin Hixon, pub
licity director for the drive.
He urged that Klamath people
save and bundle all paper to be
ready for the big pick-up day.
