The American nationals in Shanghai sent us turkey, cigars, and candy and the week previous to Christ mas we received two Canadian Red Cross food parcels, and an American Red Cross food par cel on Christmas day and an other yesterday. We expect a couple more and they are' certainly a godsend, and believe me, the Red Cross is going to receive a handsome donation from me when I return home. I certainly hope that this new year will see an end to all of this so I can come home to you again I am working in the sheet metal crew here in camp. I like the work, the hours are short, I get enough to eat, and enough sleep, and considering all, I am pretty well satisfied. TED."
