For the remainder of the evening;, Isabelle Brixncr, president of the Oregon Fed eration of Business and Pro fessional Women, outlined ac tivities of the national BPW board which met at Loke George, New York, In July. Mrs. Brlxner guvo interesting sketches of some of the out standing members present and of legislation already accom plished and in tho process of accomplishment, benefitting . women of this country. SAVAGE ENTERTAINS CAMP STAFF Mrs. Dent Savage, who was director this year for the Girl Scout camp at Camp Esther Applcgate, Lake o' tho Woods for two weeks, entertained at dinner at Sari's on Wednes day evening for the members of tho camp staff. Three Women Entertain Mrs. M'Daniels Honor Guest at Party Mon day Evening A stork shower for Mrs. Lynn McDanlcls was an event of Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Walter Jcndrze Jcwski when Mrs. Jcndrze Jewskl, Mrs. Don English and Mrs. Lloyd Froom entertained. Games were played and re freshments served later in the evening. The table was cen tered with an arrangement of sweet peas and the flowers were also displayed about tho room. A no- . hostess picnic lunch was en joyed and the afternoon was spent in chatting and hand work. Tho next meeting, Sep tember tho seventh, will be hold in the IOOF hall. Miss Lorraine Dolan of the Spring Lake district, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Dolan, and her aunt, Mrs. Lylo Hickman of Midland have been spending several days in San Francisco. 0 DAR Arranges Displays Items of Historical In terest To Be Made Feature of Week The historical displays that are to be made a feature of the Oregon Trail Centennial celebration, during the week beginning August the thir teenth, and ending August the twentieth, are being arranged for Klamath county, by Eula lona chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. . Mrs. Harry Gocller, regent of tho chapter, requests all members who can assist in ar ranging these articles for exhi bition, and in other ways to futhcr the success of the pro ject, to phone her at 4664, or call at her home at 123 Pine street. Many quaint and lovely ar ticles have been offered for this display and Mrs. Gocller hopes many more will be made available from the great amount of historical material owned by residents of Klam ath county. Mills enter tained at a delightful infor mal tea on Thursday after noon, August, the fifth, at her country home in the Pine Grove district, honoring Mrs. Harold Clark of Saginaw, Michigan, who is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. J. J. Parker, of this city. Mrs. Clark accompanied Mrs. Parker to Oregon when the latter returned from a two-months visit with rela tives in the east about July the tenth. She will return-to Michigan the middle of Aug ust. Guests Invited to meet Mrs. . Clark included Mrs. Harold M. Brown, Mrs. Charles Jos eph Martin, Mrs. E. M. Bubb and Mrs. Maude Hosley. MRS.' .ROOSEVELT INSPECTS GIRLS' ROOM. AT .COLLEGE Rose Gallagher, a Klamath Falls girl now in the WAVES, wrote home to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Gallagher of Weyerhaeuser, that she had a thrill recently when Mrs. El eanor Roosevelt visited Hunter -college. New York, where Miss - Gallagher is stationed. . Mrs. Roosevelt was making a tour of inspection of the col lege and chose a room that Rose shared with some other girls -as the room she was to inspect. The WAVES stood at attention for ten minutes, Miss Gallagher wrote. Mrs. Roose velt asked questions of the girls and seemed Impressed with the set-up, according to the Klamath girl. SOCIAL CLUB HOLDS AUGUST MEETING FRIDAY The Eastern Star Social club met Friday afternoon at the Masonic temple for dessert . and bridge with five tables in play. Bowls of lovely sweet peas centered the tables. Mrs. Oscar Peyton received award for high at the close of play and the special prize was awarded to Mrs. Harry Wortley.
