The first meeting was held at the home of Mrs. I D. M. Chandler, and was called! to order by Clifford Jenkins. New officers were elected at fol lows: Norma Chandler, president; Clarence Cascbtcr, vice presi dent; Marian Schleferatein, sec retary; June Lutman, treasurer; Margie Mikkelsen, newt report er. Booklets wero distributed to all members and loaders. The second meeting wat held at the home of Mrs. O. B. Mlk kelson Monday evening at 7:30 p. m. Three new members Join ed alnce the club wat organized. A song and yell leader were chosen. They are June Lutman and Christine McCarrol. The name we chose for our club it "The Stewart and Lenox Canning Club" and our motto Is Wo Can to Kick Japan." The next meeting will be July 19, 7:30 p. m., at Mrs. D. M. Chan dler's home.
