ceremony on July tho tenth.

father, the bride wore a dress
maker ensemble of blue with
deep blue accessories. She
carried an old-fashioned bou
quet. Her only attendant was her
elder sister. Miss Patricia Bond
of Sacramento. William Bond,
brother of the bride, was the

Mrs. Tlner, one of the
popular members of the
younger set of Tulelake, was
graduated from the Tulelake
high school with the class of
1041. She has been employed
for tha past several months
at the board of equalization
In Sacramento.
The groom will return to
his post in Virginia and tho
bride will continuo with her
position in Sacramento for the

daughter, Mrs. Louis Craven,

Falls', on Sunday, July the
eleventh.
Mrs. McDonald Is a native
of Klamath county, having
been born near Bonanza. For
many years with Mr. Mc
Donald she resided on a stock
ranch in Langcll valley, serv
ing as correspondent for the
Klamath Herald and News.
Twelve years ago they came
to Merrill, purchasing the
Lost River hotel which they
still manage.
The attractive dinner table

devotlonals and roll call as a
lead to the highlight of the

ber. Mrs. M. V. Maxwell pre
sented the Interesting book
of short stories by Marjorio
Kinnan Rowlings and the next
book suggested for review is
"Miz Rowling's Cookery" by
the same author.
Mrs. H. T. Street reported
that progress is being made
on plans for the fire rscap
from the second story of th
annex of the Tulelako Com
munity church and that work
will begin in tho near future.
A picnic is planned for the
next regular meeting, time to
be announced later and tho
event to begin at 1 p. m. at
the home of Mrs. H. T. Street.

from an attack of pleurisy con
tracted from an injury received
at the rodeo in Klamath Falls on
July 4th when his horse became
frightened and threw Sisemore,
who received two broken ribs as
a result of the mishap.

turned Saturday to their home in
Sunnyville, Calif., after spending
a week here visiting at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Denton
and their house guest. Mrs. Clara
Beall, who is Mrs. Denton's sis
ter. Mrs. Johanssen is Mrs.
Bcall's daughter, and accompany
ing the Johanssens on the return
trip to California was Delbert
Sedlacek, nephew and grandson,
respectively, of Mrs. Denton and
Mrs. Beall, who returned to his
home in Vallejo after spending
some time here visiting at the
Denton home.

seen Rev. Gehle for 40 years.
Hall and his family are on their
way to Washington from Carls
bad, New Mexico. Hall has ac
cepted an engineering position
in Bremerton.
Hall will visit with another
sister, Mrs. Anna Proffitt, in
Washington.
Mrs. Lopez has not seen Hall
since their father and mother
died in 1903. In preparation for
the reunion, Mrs. Lopez is re
decorating the interior of her
home.

Raymond L. Farris, 35, Portland
shipyard worker charged wUh
voluntary manslaughter in the
death of his wife, Florence, here
July 9, was bound over to a
grand jury today after prelim
inary hearing in justice court.
A coast guard patrolman, Wil
liam R. Gray, testified he saw
Farris strike his wife and that
she fell to the pavement. Ama
dce J. Gendreau, another patrol
man, said Mrs. Farris struck her
head with a "sickening crack."
During World War I the tail
of a fighting plane was Its Achil
les heel but now the Flying Fort
ress carries In its tail a "stinger
turret" that houses two machine
guns.
