PTA Notes Showing that the actual case load Is lowor, but that all costs have Increased generally, the Klamath county publlo welfare commission Tuesday approved a February budget of $14,375, which Is slightly higher than January's, according to Mrs. Karl Urquhart, who has resumed her duties as director after a six weeks' illness. Tho February budget figure Includes soldier's end sailor's aid, as wall as tho permanent pro gram of tho welfare program, county hospital and Infirmary, county farm and public asslst onco. Coses have been totaling ap proximately 91 per month, with January showing an extremely low 74, according to Mrs. Urqu hart, and the additional costs for February ore explained by rising costs over last year. Hospi tal costs have increased approxi mately 40 per cent over Janu ary, 1041, food costs about 30 per cent; rent figures remain static, whllo clothing figures are undetermined. Part of tho Increased hospital budget Is due to the curtailment of medical zorvlco throughout the county, physicians whose numbors have been depleted by tho armed forces finding it Im possible to make as many out sido calls as beforo.
