mil. in )ijW,MW Parties Highlight New Year's Eve Many Attend Dances Given-Thursday With Cock i tail Parties Earlier in the Evening Klamath folks saw the Old Year out and the New Year; in at midnight Thursday as they danced or sang to the familiar strains of "Auld Lang Syne," in many homes and at several of the year's largest parties. Toasts were drunk and Tom n' Jerry cups clicked as best wishes were passed between friends and hopes for a better New Year raised. Cocktail parties ' preceded , : both the Reamcs Golf and Country club and the Elks club dances which brought out best bib and tuckers and black ties. ' ' One of the largest parties was thai given by Mr. and Mrs. Alvin E. Macartney . at their home on LeRoy street when they asked friends in before the Reames party. Their guests included Mr. and Mrs. Ralph B. Macartney Sr., Mr. and Mrs. ' Charles - L.
