To this end the usual union Thonksgiv ing service will be hold at the First Presbyterian church from 10 to 11 o'clock Thursday morning. This service will be but one hour In length ond will close In time for every one to reach home in time for the preparation of their dinner. Immediately preceding the Thanksgiving service a pre-prayer service will be held In the auditorium of the church, opening ot 9:30 a. m. Major W. B. Curry of the Solvation Army, vice president of the as sociation, will be In charge of both the prayer service and the regular Thanksgiving program. The special offering, as hos been the Custom for many years past, will go for the local work of the Solvation Army, to be applied os the commanding officer may see fit. Tl SERVICE PLANNED A special Thanksgiving service Is to be held at the First Metho dist church on Tenth and High streets Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. The minister, Rev. Vic tor Phillips, announces that he will preach on the subject, "Les sons from the Pilgrim Fathers." A 35-voIce choir, under the able direction of Andrew Loney Jr., will sing special Thanksgiv ing music with Mrs. E. S. Veatch, accompanying. Among the num bers to be presented is "Now Thank We All Our God," by J. S. Bach. The women's choir will also sing, their number being, "The Netherlands Hymn ' of Thanksgiving."
