Floyd Fry, a brother, who Is in training at tho naval baso In Sim Diego, was tho best man. Later Mr, nnd Mrs.. Fry, tho parenls of tho bride, arranged' a supper party at tho El Cor tex liotel for the bridal parly, tho families and a few friends, Mrs. Jenkins' homo Is in Tacomn, and she Is the daugh ter, of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Fry. She graduated from Pomona college, al Claremont, Califor nia, a year ago. PFC Jenkins, has lived In Klamath Falls for a number of years and Is tho son of Mr. nnd Mrs. Frank Jenkins, of 123:) Pncltle Ter race. Merryman Jr., now located in Helena, Montana, where Lieut. Merryman is with the surgery division, U. S. army medical corps at Fort William Henry Harrison, are enjoying the Montana country which they say is much like our own sec tion. Uni ted States navy, in a . cere mony read Tuesday evening at eight o'clock at the home of the bride's maternal grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Kittredge, 802 Eldorado. The Rev. Victor Phillips of the Firs; Methodist church offi ated. The bride chose a white silk jersey gown with brief sleeves, . long, full skirt,' and shirred bodice, for her wed ding. A fingertip length veil of illusion net fell from a halo of seed pearls and small blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of pink rosebuds and bouvardia. ' Miss Mary ' Alice Serruys was the bride's only attend ant. She wore a frock of white organdie with all over embroidery of pink ' flowers. A wreath of gardenias was worn, in her hair. Mr. Oscar Kittredge, uncle of the bride, was best man, . , The wedding march . was played ' by Mrs. Oscar Kit tredge of- Adel, aunt of the bride. Immediately follow ing the ceremony' a reception was held and the bride and groom cut their three tiered cake which was later served by Miss Serruys. Presiding at the coffee urns , were Mrs. Leo McMullen and Mrs. Jack Schultz. ' The young couple left for Bremerton, Washington, where they will, make their home and where Mr. McAfee is stationed with the navy hospital corps. He is the son of Mrs. G. M. . Turnbull of Portland and J. L. McAfee o ' Bremerton. The bride is a member' of a prominent Klamath county family, attended school here and was graduated in the spring of 1941 from St. Helens hall, Portland. For traveling Mrs. McAfee wore a coffee brown wool gabardine suit with matching accessor ies and a corsage of fall flow-, crs. ' : Among the out of town guesla wero Mrs. Norino Reed of Alameda, California, sister Margaret Hay Is Kentucky Bride Klamath Falls Girl 'Weds Lieutenant Napier in Church Rites October Seventh Miss Margaret Hay, daughter of Circuit Judge and Mrs. Arthur D. Hay of Lakeview, became the bride of Lieutenant Bob H. Napier, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hawkins Napier of 632 North Third street, Klamath Falls, in a ceremony read at four o'clock Wednesday afternoon, October the seventh, in Greenup, Kentucky. Lieutenant and Mrs. Frank G. Matteson attended the couple. The bride wore a teal blue sheer wool costume suit with ' gold trim, a small bonnet with Reames Women Play Second Flight Cham pion Named Friday Morning Mrs. George H. Merryman, Sr., defeated Mrs. Ted Shoop for championship in the second flight following Friday morn ing's play at Reames Golf and Country club and in the first flight Mrs. William Grove and Mrs. Jacques J. Steiger must play another eighteen holes before the winner in the first flight is named. They played the first eighteen this Friday. Hostesses for the day were Mrs. Herbert E. Hauger, Mrs. Byron Hardenbrook and Mrs. Leslie Rogers. Twenty re mained for luncheon at the clubhouse and several tables of cards were in play. The mystery tournament, which has been an event of the past several years, was called off and plans for next Friday include a surprise tournament with a sack lunch at noon. Hostesses will be Mrs. Jacques J. Steiger, Mrs. Wilfred E. Lamm and Mrs. Beauford E. Hayden. Lieutenant and Mrs. Napier spent a week in Co lumbus before the officer was due to report at. Camp Stew art, Georgia, coast artillery division of the United States army. Mrs. Napier arrived in Klamath Falls Thursday eve ning and will resume her teaching position in the Eng lish department of Klamath Union high school. . Both Lieutenant and Mrs. Napier are well known here. The bride is a graduate of the University of Oregon and a member of Delta Gamma sor ority. She has taught here for several years. Lieutenant Nap- ier attended Southern Oregon College of Education at Ash land. VISITORS . AT ULRICH HOME ON CONGER Visiting in Klamath Falls are Mrs. J. Armond Ulrich and her young son, J. Armond the second, guests of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Ulrich of Con ger avenue. The visitors will leave soon for Inglewood, Cal ifornia, where they plan to re main until December as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Walker, (Kathryn Ulrich). -' Interesting letters are being received by tho Ulrich family from J. Armond, now a lieu tenant in the ordnance depart ment, United States army, and stationed somewhere in the south Pacific. Ho reached hii new base after sailing from the coast on May 25, 1042. T
