Machinery Usa Eyed There was a discussion of the possibilities of combining the city and county juvenile offices. Mayor John Houston said the city is willing to go into such a program. It was decided to take this matter up first with Circuit Judge David R, Vanden- berg, who appoints the county juvenile oflicer. Use of county road machinery by the other taxing units, such as the municipalities and school districts, was also considered at some length. County Judge U. E. Reeder pointed out that the county machinery Is Idle part of the time, and could be put In use on public work other than the county roads. The matter will be worked out between the officials of the various taxing units. Voluntary Cooperation The cooperation committee re ceived a letter from Congress man Walter M. Pierce reminding it that he undertook in 1923 a legislative program aimed at tax conservation, but the law was Invalidated by the s.ipreme court.'
