The strips, which will be used for lunding fields, will bo 6000 feet Jong and 500 feet wide. The paved runways will be 150 feet wide, and the rest of the 350 feet of width will be gravel. They will cost $200,000 each. One will be located on the Iduho-Orcgon-Novada highway .10 miles north of McDermltt, Nov., while the other will bo on U. S. highway 305 at Alkali lake, 60 miles north of Lakcview. Highway in Middle Tho highways will run down the middle of each strip. Thirty were with their parents and six with rela tives but 24 of them were housed in foster homes. T. Owre of the PIRC said today. He said he expected negotia tions to bo opened some time during the last week of this month, Tho CIO two weeks ago in a letter to the PIRC asked a pay boost for 4500 of their members within the jurisdiction of the Klamath Basin District council of the International Woodwork ers of America but' did not spe cify the exact extent of its de mands. The council also asked for a night shift differential, ad justment of the pine and fir dif ferential and correction of al leged existing differentials be tween men's and women's pay scales. The CIO-IWA in June was granted a 7 14 -cent boost in a war labor board decision.
