PIE ( Bervings) Pastry 2 cup flour, 1 tea spoon baking powder, 1 tea spoon salt, 2-8 cup lard or, other fat, 8 to 8 tablespoons Ice water. Filling 3 egg. ( cup dark brown sugar, s cup granulated tugar, 1 teaspoon salt, i tea spoon cinnamon, teaspoon nut meg, i teaspoon ginger, i tea spoon cloves, II cups cooked pumpkin, 1! cups milk. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut In shortening until the size of lima beans with a pastry blender or two knives. Add ice water a little at a time, mixing It In with a fork. Pat dough, together and chill If pos sible. For tha filling, separate eggs; beat yolks until foamy. Mix with yolka the brown sugar, granulat ed sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove and pumpkin. Scald milk and add to pumpkin mixture. Roll out about three quarters of dough on floured board. Line 10-lnch pie plate, leaving about an Inch overlapping tha edges. Make double upright fold and pinch between thurrjb and fore finger to make fluted rim. Beat egg white until stiff and fold Into pumpkin mixture. Pour fill ing into pastry lined pan. Roll out remainder ot dough and cut pastry turkeys with turkey cut ter. Place on top of filling. PrUeilla' Coin Pudding (Ten Servings) Six tablespoon cornmeal, 6 tublcspoon brown sugar, 2 tea spoon salt, li cups milk, 8 ta blespoon butter, 3 eggs, 7 cups fresn or canned wnola korncl corn (3 No. 2 cans), 8 tablespoons diced green pepper, 6 table 1 spoon mlncod onion, parsoy. Mix cornmeal, brown sugar and salt together in a bowl. Scald milk and melt butter In it. Pour gradually over cornmeal mixturo, stirring until lugar is dissolved. Add well-bcoten eggs, corn, green popper and onion: combine thoroughly. Pour into a well-greased three-quart heat O resistant glass baking dish; bake uncovered In a modorate oven (329 deg. F.) for about 11 hour, or until firm. Garnish with pars ley and serve. Qrsp Custard Ring (Serve 6) One-eighth teaspoon salt, 2 egg yolks, I cup milk, scalded, 2 egg MENU BREAKFAST: Grapefruit Julcu, scrambled eggs, corn meal muffins, coffee, milk. LUNCHEON: Black boan soup, chopped lettuce and en riched bread 1 sandwiches, baked apples, tea, milk, DINNER! Pan-brollcd chop ped round steak, mashed pota toes, stuffed onions, raw cran berry relish, squasli pie, cof fee, milk. whites stiffly beaten, 1 package leman-flavored gelatin, I cup hot water, I cup grape Juice, 1 teaspoon salt. Add I teaspoon salt to egg oiks and beat slightly: then add hot milk gradually, stirring con stantly. Cook and stir over hot water iintll'mixture coat spoon, I Remove from fire. Fold hot custard gradually into beaten egg white. Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Add grape juice and 1 teaspoon salt. Chill until cold and sy rupy. Place in bowl of cracked ice or ice water and whip with rotary egg beater until fluffy and thick like whipped cream. Then beat In custard. Turn Into ring mold. Chill until firm. Un mold. Garnish with cluster of Concord grapes and grape leave. Buko In a hot over (4S0 degrees F.) for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat of oven to 350 degrees F. and continue baking for 30 min utes or until knife comes out clean when Inserted Into pump kin custard. MENU BREAKFAST Orange Juice, dry wholcwheot cereal, bacon omelet, toast, coffee, milk. DINNER Fricassee of chicken, baked potatoes, cauli flower with parsley butter, rnmolne salad, mince meat mousse, coffe, milk.
