B W) The supply priorities and allo cations board ordered the OPM today to obtain detailed 1942 production programs, covering every industry, as a step prelim inary to actual rationing ot all critical materials. The sweeping survey will cover defense as well as civilian production) "from washing ma chines to tanks," a SPAB spokes man said. ' It Is designed to give defense officials a clear overall picture of the nation's total raw mater ial requirements In relation to available supplies. The action was described as a "transitional step," in the direc tion of an overall allocations system, designed as a more workable substitute for the prior ities system in putting prime de fense needs ahead of lesser de fense needs and civilian require ments. The priorities system, creak' ing under the burden of attempt ing to put first things first in supply situations where, as in copper, the supplies are inade quate even for purely military needs, will not be entirely dis placed, it was said. Each industry must supply complete information on its month-by-month needs for pro duction . of military, industrial and civilian items and essential public services, SPAB ordered. Similar requirements .for repair parts and capital expenditures also must be stated. SPAB laid down the principle that, where feasible, the alloca tion programs for each industry would be developed so as to as sure minimum quantities of criti cal materials to essential indus tries whose operations have been curtailed, i. e., enough material to meet their needs under the curtailment. CHICAGO, Nov. 8 (R--Wheat futures prices fell almost two cents a bushel at one time today, diplng out practically all of ad' vance built up this week. Rye was off almost as much, corn down a cent and oats lost fractions. Soybeans fluctuated over a range of more than 3 cents and at the close showed losses of It to 21 cents. Brokers attributed the decline to weekend profit taking and selling based on prospects of more favorable weather for har vesting and movement of late corn and soybeans. The list tossed about uneven ly at the start and narrowly ir regular price changes prevailed at the close. Dealings picked up occasionally and transfers for the two hours ran to around 300.000 shares. At moderately lower levels the greater part ot the time were shares of Santa Fe, N. Y. Central, Great Northern, U. S. Steel, Chrysler, Eastman Kodak and Johns-Manville. New 1841 bottoms were recorded for Con solidated Edison, Montgomery Ward and American Can. Overloaded Grain Warehouse Falls a HEPPNER, Nov. 8 MP) The Morrow County Grain Growers', warehouse at Lexington, over loaded with wheat, collapsed Thursday night, Manager D. S. Glasgow said yesterday. The debris covered railroad tracks and buried thousand of tons of grain. Glasgow said the. waretanuM was a comnlete loss.. but the extent of grain damage was undetermined.
