Four More Local Youths Join Navy Four more local youths have Joined the navy through the local navy recruiting station in the postoffice building, and have boon sent lo Portland for their physical examinations. Rebekah Meeting A regular meeting of Prosperity Rebekah lodge was announced for Thurs day evening, August 21, at the IOOF hall at 8 o'clock, with ini tiation to be held. All visiting members were invited. With forty signed up and moro applications coming, Clem Clarke, defense coordinator, pre dicted Thursday that the Klam ath defense welding school at KUIIS may have to operate on a double shift. "Everything Is shaping up fine," Clarke atoted. "Wo will be ready to operate a week from Monday." Several welders have applied for instructor's positions and Clarke is now awaiting word on their acceptance. Police Warn Traffic Warrants Will Be Issued Traffic tickets were coming In too slowly to suit city police and a warning was issued Thursday that warrants would be issued against those who have received tickets and refuse to comply with rules of the traffic depart ment.
