This library, housed in a 9800.000 Ivory-colored tower, contains many of the rarest World war documents and large amounts of literature bearing up on the shaping of world events Inca that period. It was an nounced that Dr. Ray Lyman Wilbur, Stanford's president, would continue as head of the institution until January 1, 1843 and also would be made chancel' lor of the university. Dr. Wilbur, who was secre tary of the Interior under Preal' dent Hoover, reached the retire ment age of OS more than a year ago but his tenure was extonaecs to January 1, 1843, In order that he might continue as head of the institution during Its Both year. Lemon Snow (Serves 6) One-quarter cup cold water, one tablespoon unflavored gela tin, one cup boiling water, three fourths cup sugar, one-fourth tea spoon salt, one-fourth cup lemon Julre, two egg whites. Proceed as In making clear gelatin. Measure cold water In to mixing bowl, add gelatin and let stand S minutes. Add boiling water, sugar and salt, and stir until gelatin, sugar and salt are dissolved. Add lemon juice. Let stand until mixture start to con geal, then beat with a rotary beater until frothy. Beat egg whites stiff, add to gelatin mix ture, beating them in until the mixture Is stiff enough to hold It shape. This process is speeded if bowl is set In a pan of ice or cold water. Turn into molds rinsed with cold water and chill, or pile lightly in serving glasses. Chill until firm. Serve with crushed and sweetened fresh or preserved berries or with soft custard. Blackberry Mousse One cup blackberry pulp, one fourth to one-half cup sugar, two tabluspoons cold water, two cups whipping cream. Crush enough blackberries to make one cup pulp, and mix with sugar and salt. Let stand until sugar is dissolved. Soak gelatin S minutea In cold water, dissolve by holding over hot water. Churchill Resists Demands for Debate LONDON, June 20 (P) Prime Minister Churchill resisted de mand yesterday in the home of common for public debate on the gravity of the shipping situ ation by insisting it wa impos sible to state the government' position "exoept under the pro tection of the secret session."
