WOOL MARKET BOSTON, June 13 (AP-USDA) Worsted types of greasy shorn domestic wools wore slow today but somo houses were receiving a fair demand for woolen types of domestic wools. A few sales were of fair volume on eight months Texas wools, pulled do mestic wools and a few typea of scoured foreign wools. Short to good French combing fine territory original wools quoted at 81 to 8103, scoured basis. were very alow. Average bright combing three-eighths and one quarter blood fleece wools were quiet ond quotations were show ing some softness as an occa sional carload was available at prices slightly under the range 46 to 47 cents, in the grease. The average speed at which airmail and express travels along the airways of the United States is about 110 miles an hour. Pin Production Takes Sharp Jump PORTLAND, Ore., June 13 (P) -Western pine lumber pro duction and shipments were up sharply during the week ending June 7 but the order file was a trifle thinner, the Western Pine association said toduy. Production for the week was 86,018,000 board feet compared with 77,818,000 for the previous week and 78,487,000 for the same week of 1940, Shipment figures In that order: 81,260,000 board feet, 76,800,000 and 77, 214,000; ordors: 84,112,000 feet, 86,008,000 and 72,625,000. All over the country women's groups are urging their local fish dealors to make Tuesday a bar gain fish day as well as Friday. William Fellows Morgan, Jr., Commissioner of Markets in New York City, started the Tuesday bargain fish day. He reports marked success. Here are a few rules for suc cessful fish cokery: TO BAKE FISH WHOLE AND STUFFED Head and tail may be left on. Wash, rub with salt inside and out. Stuff with a savory breed crumb stuffing, and sew the opening. Brush with melted but ter, or place strips of bacon or salt pork on top. Place on a greased shallow pan or oven proof platter. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F.) until browned, basting occasionally with drippings. A fish weighing 3 pounds will take 35-40 min utes and a 5-pound fish, 50 to 80 minutes. TO BAKE FILLETS Two fillets may be put to gether with a well-seasoned stuffing. Keep In place with skewers or toothpicks, brush with butter and bake in a mod' erate oven (350 degrees F.) for 30-35 minutes, basting frequent ly. TO BAKE FISH WITH SAUCE A fish may be split or filleted and covered with any suitable sauce, . topped with buttered bread crumbs and baked in a moderate oven (325-330 degrees F.) for about half an hour. Fil lets may be poached and heated In a sauce in the oven. TO BROIL FISH Use fillets or split fish, cut In portions if desired. Place fish on oiled rack (with skin side down if fillets are not used) Season with salt and pepper and brush with melted butcr or other fat. Broil under a moderate flame until lightly browned and cooked through. Lift carefully onto hot platter. A thick piece of fish may be broiled until light ly browned, and then removed to moderate oven, to bake until done. MENU BREAKFAST: Cantaloupe, whole-wheat toast, bacon, coffee, milk. LUNCHEON: Baked beans, bran and raisin muffins. prunes and silver bananas, tea, milk.
