Movie Cameramen At Crater Lake for Winter Snow Scenes Chased southward by lack of Mount Hood snow, a party of Columbia Moving Picture studio cameramen and directors de trained early Thursday morning at Chiloquin bound for Crater lake. The group has been on loca tion at Hood filming skiing se quences for a forthcoming pic ture starring Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyck, but found snow conditions too poor for con tinued shots. Hans Sarback, Timberllne lodge ski instructor, and Mrs. Boyd French Jr., are doubling for the stars and it was believed they were with the film people. Fonda and Miss Stanwyck are not in the party, which expects to leave the lake on May 4. Docket to Be Called For Circuit Court A new circuit court docket will be called Monday, May S, at 10 a. m., the county clerk's office said Thursday. It was presumed that trial dates for pending civil cases would be set. Treasury Working on Tax Easing Plan WASHINGTON, May 1 OP) Secretary Morgenthau announc ed today the treasury was "work ing on a plan" to enable citizens to prepay their taxes under the heavy rates being considered by congress. He said he could not give de tails, but generally the treasury was thinking! of selling a special kind of security which could be used by tax payers to pay their taxes instead of paying cash. , Thus, a man expecting to pay $120 income tax could prepare himself by buying a $10 security every month of the preceding year. When tax time came around, he would turn over the securities, and avoid the ne cessity of borrowing money or disturbing his personal budget in order to meet his tax bill. Hanger garage at Main and Broad streets by the Building Trades, council (AFL) in a move announced as a protest against the automobile dealer's refusal to hire union men on a construc tion job. According to a statement of the executive board of the coun cil issued through Joo Willis, council secretary, the garage has refused to remove two men at work on a small remodeling Job in the garage building in terior and has refused to recog nize the union. May 1 (V) Italian parachutists have occupied the Greek islands of Cephalonia and Xante and the nearby island of San Maura hu.i been taken over by fascist land forces, the high command declared today.
