Emery as principal of Klamath Union high school, according to Percy Murray, achool board chairman. Murray said that several ap plicants have made personal calls upon board members here. The' applications have come from coast points, and began pouring in as soon as Principal Emery announced lie would re turn to teaching in the high school English department at the end of the present year. It is the board's indicated in tention to vlect a principal with the thought in mind that he probably will take over as su perintendent of both high and grade schools here as the school district cooperation program takes shape in the next year or two. It is expected the high school board will consult with the ele mentary board before final selec tion of the high school prin cipal is made. Chairman Murray said he ex pected the election of the prin cipal will take place in about a month. ENGAGEMENT SALEM. April 21 (AP) Gov ernor and Mrs. Charles A.
