Jacqualinc Gilpen, three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gilpen, was given a birth day party in honor of her third birthday last Tuesday. Ough and Mrs. Lewis Croly motored to Klamath Falls last Wednesday, where they attended a bridge party held In the Bateau. Mrs. Vertis Swcaringen and son, Avey, with Mrs. E. T. Due to impassable condition of the road between Sprague River and Chlloquin it 1 neces sary for Mr. Allen, who bring the mail to go around by Klam ath Falls. The round trip re quires that he drive a distance of over 100 miles to cover the trip. Tho round trip over the regular road is 82 miles. Students of the Sprague River school wero excused one hour early Friday to enjoy a program of moving picture comcdic. The pictures were shown on the cur tain in the old gym by the school projector. The comedies were made in the old silent film days and presented a type of slap stick not seen in the sound films. Mr. Isabrlle Brixner, county school supervisor, spent Monday, February 10 visiting the Sprague River school. While here she conferred with the teachers and visited the various rooms. Miss Alice Jean Grossman Joined her sister and a group of young people in Klamath Falls in a skiing party at Crater lake last Sunday. The party reported the skiing to be excellent. I Pelican School Art Work Shown An art project of the Pelican i school students, consisting of woodburning, has been placed on display in tho windows of Goel ler's Wallpaper and Paint store at 230 Main and Is attracting much attention, inasmuch as the trays and plaques made by the children shows a great deal of ability and imagination.
