IDAHO VISITORS HONOR GUESTS AT PICNIC A picnic on the lawn of the Jester home, 2027 Earle itreet, was given Thursday afternoon i with Mrs. C. Jester, Mn. T. 8. Green and Mn. Jack Orrell hostess to about thirty friends. The affair was given in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Dal las Green and son, Larry, of Moscow, Idaho. The Greens have been the houseguests of Mr. Green's mother, Mrs. Myrtle Duffy, 217 Pine street, and his brother, Mr. T. S. Green of Bly. TEACHERS ON VACATION (Continued From Page Five) to their home here within a few weeks. Miss Dorothy Marshall, physical education teacher at Mills school, is enjoying a short trip to North Dakota to i visit relatives after which she " will go to San Joae, California to attend school. Miss Jeanne McCall will tour Yoiemite park and motor to other California points for several weeks. Miss Eleanor Donofrlo is leaving for Seattle where she plans to attond the University of Washington, and Miss Ida Nordlne is sailing for the Hawaiian Islands to study at the University of Honolulu. Mrs. Agnes Bryan, principal at Mills school, will spend the greater portion of the summer at Loa Angeles where she will be the guest of her brother-in-law and sister, Dr. and Mrs. t. C. Andrlan. J. Frank Mills, Mrs. E. J. War ren, and Mrs. Victor O'Neill entertained at the home of the latter on Portland street for members of Chspter AU, PEO Sisterhood. Many lovely Iris were used about the rooms and the Indi vidual tables were centered with arrangemonts of Cecil Brunner rosebuds and purple violas. Eighteen guesti were present, and following lunch eon a business meeting and social hour was enjoyed. Officers of Chapter AU, elected this spring, Include Mrs. E. A. Thomas, presldont; Mrs. M. P. Married In Reno Saturday, May 25 Miss Clarissa Wilkes and Mr. Arthur Schuck both of Klamath Falls, were married in Reno, Nevada, in a high noon ceremony Saturday, May the twenty-fifth. The young couple will be at home in Altamont following a brief honeymoon in Virginia City, Nevada. .hose r. lv -J n att& Lois Porterfield Bride in Church Tulelake Girl Weds Don Nettleton of Bend in Ceremony Read Before Friends Saturday Eve In one of the spring's loveliest ceremonies, Miss Lois Porterfield of Tulelake and Bend, became the bride of Mr. Don Nettleton of Bend, in a service read before a great many friends and relatives in the First Methodist church of Klamath Falls at eight o'clock Saturday evening, May the twenty-fifth. Rev. Victor E. Phillips officiated. The bride, daughter of Mrs. Lucy Klrby of Oregon City, Oregon, and Mr. James G. Porterfield of Tulelake, was given in mar riage by her father. She wore a period frock of white taffeta with a fitted bodice and full skirt. Her finger tip length veil was fitted with a mesh snood and caught by a halo of orange blossoms. Her flowers were Joanna Hill rosebuds, sweet peas, forget-me-nots, and lllies-of-the valley. Miss Lois Scott, niece of the bride, was maid of hon or, and wore a period style frock of rose taffeta similar , in design to that of the bride's. Her flowers were fashioned into a nosegay of Joanna Hill rosebuds, lav ender sweet peas and forget-me-nots. Miss Alice Hall, the brides maid, wore turquoise taf feta with a nosegay of talis msn rosebuds and a w e e t peas. Mr. Frank Nettleton, brother of the groom, was best man. The service was read by candlelight before a bank of salmon pink snapdragons and white stock. Mrs. Lee Whitcomb accompanied her husband who sang. "I Love You Truly," just before the ceremony, and also played both the processional and re cessional. Ushers were Mr. Ted Net tleton and Mr. Louis Nettle ton. brothers of the groom. The young couple left for a wedding trip which will take them to the Oregon beaches. Upon their return after June the first, they will be at home at 953 Wall street. Bend. For traveling the bride chose a navy blue tallleur of wool with navy and white accessories and a corsage of rosebuds, sweet peas, and forget-me-nots. Mrs. Nettleton. is well known in this city, and for the past three years has taught in the Bend schools. Her family are prominent residents of the Tulelake area. WEDDING St. Paul's Episcopal church was to be the scene of a beau tiful summer wedding Satur day evening, June the first, when Miss Beverly Joyce O'Keefe and Mr. Clarence Leon Crapo were to exchange vows at half past eight o'clock before more than 150 guests. A reception was to follow in the parish house with the wedding party receiving. Newcomers t o Klamath Falls are Mr. and Mrs. Rex Mannion and young daughter, two-year-old Miriam Sue, who have taken an apartment at Eldorado and Melrose streets.
