To Returns Home Mrs. Emmett Powell, who has spent the past seven weeks in Montana, has returned home. Motor to Valley Mr, and Mrs. O. R. Holloway and Mr. and Mrs. Al Deals motored to Ashland Saturday where they spent the day as guest of Made Ion Boats, student at the South ern Orogon Normal school. Mrs. Holloway and Mrs. Beals at tended the style show and tea at the college while the men en Joyed a round of golf at the Ashland club. Sponsor Movie The Mothers club of Sacred Heart academy will sponsor movie, Jackie Cooper In Booth Tarklngton's "Snventoen," to be given at the Pelican theatre on Friday, May 17. Ticket must be purchased from a member of the Mothers club In order that they receive credit. Dinner Planned The annual meeting of Klamath county chapter of. the American Red Cross will be held at 6 o'clock Tuesday night when dinner will be served at the Wlllard hotel. Mrs. C. S. OBITUARY RICHARD ALEXANDER MOORE Richard Alexander Moore, resident for the past 4 years, passed away in this elty on Sun day, May 12, The deceased was a native of Iowa and wa aged 58 years and 10 doys when called. He Is survived by his wife, Myrtle E. of this city; a daughter, Audrey McLeod of Dunsmulr, Calif.; a son, Richard A. of Washington; a brother, Ernest of Sacramento, Calif. Mr. Moore was member of Red ding, Calif., lodge No. 1073, B. P. O. Elks and A. J. Stevens' division No. 426, B. L. E. ARAK ELIZABETH ELCIN Sarah Elizabeth Elgin, a resi dent of Dorris, Calif., for the past 31 years, passed away at her late residence In that city on Sunday, May 12. The deceased was native of Indiana and was aged 80 year 11 months and 27 days when called. She is sur vived by a brother, John Buttler of Corvallis, Ore.; a sister in San Francisco, Calif., and one In Oregon; 3 grandsons, Roy Var num of San Antonio, Tex., George Varnum of Dorris, Calif., Arthur Varnum of San Gabriel, Calif.; 3 great-granddaughter, Leola and Charlotte Varnum of Tloneata, Calif., Virginia of San Gabriel, Calif.; 2 great-grandson, Lorlng Varnum of Tlonei ta, Calif., and Lee Varnum of San Oabrlel, Calif. NELLIE ELMIRA WALCOTT Nellie Elmlra Walcott, a na tive of Missouri, age 63 years 3 months 27 days, passed away on Saturday afternoon, May 11, at tho residence of her daughter, Mrs. Raymond E. Wonser in Al tamont acres. Mrs. Walcott had resided in Klamath Falls for the past three years and was 111 for two years of that time. She for merly resided In Grants Pass, Oregon, where she was a mem ber of the Christian church. She EARL LEE WISECARVER Earl Lee Wisecarver, aged 20 years 3 month and 20 days, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, May 12, 1940. He wa born In Dorris, Calif., Jan. 14, 1920, and has long been a Klamath county resident. He wa an employee of the Dalton St Evan company, potato deal er. Besides hi mother, Mr. Emma Wisecarver of the Hen ley district, he 1 survived by five brother. Cecil, Lyle, Jack, Lester and Ray Wisecarver, all of the Klamath area; and three sisters, Maxine Wisecarver, of Portland, Oregon, and Dorothy and Catherine Wisecarver of Klamath Falls, The Earl Whltlock Funeral Home, Pine street at Sixth, is in charge of all funeral ar rangement, which will be an nounced in a later Issue of this paper. ALBERT HERMAN JOHNS Albert Herman Johns, a resi dent of Klamath county for the past 30 years, passed away In this city on Sunday, May 12. The deceased was a native of Portage, Wisconsin and was aged 67 years and 5 months when called. He I survived by his wife, Ellsa of this city; 2 sons. Louie W., Henry, and a daugh ter, Emma of this city; 2 sisters, Mrs. Frank Yanks of Hayward, Calif., Mr. Byron Jewett of Portage, Wis.; also one grand child.
