The : Dallas Invades Klamath In , October. : ', Football Intruded 'on the spring and summer sport pro gram long enough this week to get through tha grid sched ule (or next autumn. And, as result. Klamath high school otters one ot the most Inter esting aeries ot games . Modoe field has seen. 4. 'The schedule, announced Wednesday by Head Coach Leslie Avrlt, will Include nine tough engagements. Best ot all, the very particular Klam ath Falls football fans ahould be absolutely satisfied when they learn that seven of these nine contests will be played right here on Modoe Held. . - There will be, of course, the regular run of Southern Ore . gon conference games. The highlight ot the year will come on Friday night, October S, when .The Dalles invades Klamath Falls for the first time. - - - High school .officials have put through a two-year agree ment with the Upper-Columbia river achool. In 1137. the Pel cans will play in the north. This agreement" marks a real atep . forward. While In the past Klamath haa had no trouble in bringing outside teama to Modoe field, these in vitations have never been re turned. The situation waa this: to satisfy the demands ot football followers here, the Klamath . athletic . directors were forced to put op gener ous guarantees to arrange at tractive games for Modoe field. The hitch, however,- waa that these same schools were pret ty reluctant in offering tha Pelicans similar Inducements. - In the' past, to get outside eompetitlon, Klamath has had to play host and toot tha bill. .- tOO. a . . ' Given any kind of break with the weather, the long string ot night contests should make for the most successful attendance on record. "so far Pete Belcastro has made good on his assertion that he "can beat all the bums round here." The question now, however, la be going to make it atlck when he meets Dude Chick? , Chick's two matches with . George Wilson and his one battle against Al Karaslck stand out as the "tops" of the season. His meeting with Belcastro next Tuesday should be even better. The cowboy has a remark able record here. A draw with Wilson, whom he later de feated, Is his closest escape from defeat. Two films, appearing simul taneously, are "Life Is Like That" and "Brides Are Like That."
