A number of prices had been offer- ' ed for this distinction. A' floor show, featuring some ' of the most popular local spe cialty dancers was planned, and dancing was scheduled to, begin at 8:30 o clock. . Hosts and hostesses for the evening were announced as fol lows: Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. Henri Conradi, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Knndson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fulton. Rot T. Mr, J. Percy Weils is general chairman for the tulip show, - and many prises are to be offered tor various displays. The Iris show, held last year in the spacious gardens ot the . R. R. Macartnoy home on Washington street hill, under the aus pices of the Library club, was one of the loveliest affairs of the spring, and the tulip show promises to offer even greater scope lor gardening anmusiasts. Committees who will assist Mrs. Wells in planning the tulip how will be announced in the near future. Many gay spring dances are being planned for the coming weeks, offering a striking con trast to the quietude ot the Len ' Ma season. Tha last dance of tha Winter Dancing club's season is sot for April 14, and will be held at the Wlllard hotel. A light hearted informal atmosphere with an out-of-doors tang will prevail at this dance which closes . most successful season. Invitations for the "spring ports dance," as It has been . termed, will go Into the malls next .week. .... Four tables of bridge were in play, with high score going to Mrs. Fenslar and low to Mrs. Johnson. At the close of play refresh ments were served to Mesdames Chamberlain, Fenslar. Meshke, McGlnley, Mosebar, Johnson, Welch, Templeton, Louden, Nor- ris. Brown, Campbell, Molegard, Hardman, Hooper, Phillips, and the hostess. This is the closing party for this season, and each member took a gift. Winner of the high score for the series of parties was permitted first choice ot the gifts, and high scores for the season were held by Mrs. L. Meshke and Mr. Frank Bell. Low score was held by Mrs. W. Hackler and Art Wright. This club is composed mostly of the settlers in the 1931 homestead opening, and the members are Messrs. and Mesdames A. E. Mc Clymonds, L. E. Tillotsen, Art Wright, C. C. Chamberlain, L. E. Meshke, C. Barks, L. McAnulty, L. R. Jensen, W. C. Hackler, Frank Bell and Mose Crawford. TTJLELAKE. The Wlnema club hold its regular meeting at the Wlnema school, after school, Thursday. The grade school or chestra, under the leadership of Mr. Winter, played several se lections and the lower grades pre sented a program, under the su pervision of Mrs. George Day. The club ladles sponsored a fish pond. The proceeds of this are to finance a picnic for the pup., at the close of school. Humphrey who has loft for Glen dale, Oregon, where Mr. Humph rey has recently been transferred. Guests of the evening were members of the executive com mittee ot the Winter Dancing club, of which Mrs. Humphrey was secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Robert Fulton was elect ed to fill the vacancy on the board left by Mrs. Humphrey's departure.
