strengthening the market and
giving the growers a consider
ably improved price. About 25
per cent of the wool in the
Klamath country is free fleece.

to Demand Share
of Navy Building

(UP) Representatives of six
.lar western states tonight were
to be organized to demand that
congress and the navy depart
ment award to Pacific coast ship
yards their fair share in con
struction under the proposed
$380,000,000 navy expansion
program.
' Most of the coast shipyards
have been Idle since 1918. A
recent survey by the San Fran
cisco bay industrial committee
showed that , at least five ship
building plants on the Pacific
coast are adequately equipped
ana ready to begin construction
immediately. They are the
Moore Shipbuilding Co. of Oak
land, the General Engineering
Co., ot Alameda, the Los Ange
les Shipbuilding Co., at Los An
geles, and the Todd Shipbuilding
uo and Berg Shipbuilding Co.
