Ford Sales Make Big Upward Jump All records for early winter Ford salea were broken during November when 146,788 passenger ears nnd trucks were delivered to retail cus tomers In tho United States. This Is un Increase of approximately 000 over the November rales a year ago. Another evidence of tho popular ity of the Improved Ford passenger cars Is shown In the enrollments In the Ford weekly purchase plan, which have risen to unprecedented numbers. During November a total j of 31.425 persons enrolled under the plan and began paying on cars, more than twice as runny as enrolled dur-: Ing the same month last year. As the holidays approach deliveries of cars to customers who have been . buying (hem under tho weekly pur-' chase plan are increasing. With 192G ahlpments up to December 9, showing an IncrcaBe of mare than 50.600 cars over the period from January 1 to December 9, of 1924, Willys-Overland la enjoying its greatest sales volume. Not only bus the shipment record to date this year beaten that of t92t, hut It also Is approximately 3,000 automobiles ahead of the shipping record for the same period of 1923, the best year in tie his tory of Willys-Overland. Production for this period in 1923 totalled 194,364 Overlands and Willys Knights. Coincident with the unusual act ivity marking shipment records at Willys-Overland Is the fact that twice during the fall months boat shipments on tho Great Lakes es tablished new shipment marks for this type of freight, while several trainloads to such points as Chicago, Decatur and the u.vo southern points Miami and Memphis have further contributed to Wlllys-Overland's un usual shipment records.
