DISMARK. N. D.. Dec. 19. (JP)
A third pony movement in North
Dakota in preparation for' the 1926
political campaign was started here
last night with the formation of the
farmer-labor party of this state.
Tho organization was regarded
ns a skeleton affair with its final
definite status, probably not being
decided until next February. Those
who sponsored the third party idea
are members of tho non-partisan
league. The league Itself wan not
behind the plan.
Those who attended the meeting
here adopted state and national
platforms for the farmer-labor party
which they hope to put on a solid
national footing. They prepared
to launch a ticket for the senate
elections next year.
The national platform demands
that the federal government give
the same consideration lo agricul
tural Interests that it has given to
the railroads and other corpora
tions. '
The !. C. C. was urged to reduce
to pre-war levels tho present freight
rates on agricultural products. R'
peal of the Ksth-f'timmlns law and
a plea that the railroads be public
ly owned "with definite safeguards
against bureaucratic control" was
contained in another plank.
That the third party will be
strenuously opposed by non-partisan
league leaders was seen hero.

Why do so many women drive
e OAKLAND SIX?
Women choose the new Oakland Six in preference to all other
cars in its price Iclass, not only because it is more beautiful uiul
comfortable, but also because it is safer and easier to drive.
Threading through traffic in this car is a joy rather than u task.
Steering jind gear-shifting are pleasingly free from effort. Oak
land's proven Four-Wheel Brakes respond to incredibly slight
pressure. Night driving is made simpjer and safer by the con
venient dimmer on steering wheel.
All of these features combine to make the Oakland Six the
favored car among women, just as its outstanding mcchanicnl
advantages, including Air Cleaner, Oil Filter, Full Pressure Oiling
and The Harmonic Balancer and new prices '70 to '3)0 lower
make it the preferred car among men.
