S. Newsom, medical director of the Klamath County Health unit, is granted by the state board of health. The emergency move which will affect many local business houses was prompted by the present epidemic of the dread malady of spinal meningities. The situ ation was brought to a climax today by the report to the health office of one more case of meningitis a pupil attending the Sacred Heart Academyi Eighth and Wash ington streets. For Isolation Hospital An additional emergency move was taken this after noon when city and county officials conferred on ways and means to prdvide a suitable isolation hospital. The meeting was in progress at 3 p. m. today .and was at tended by the city council, the county court, a com mittee of local citizens and Dr. Newsom.
