CONTROL PLAN PROVES SUCCESS Government Entomologist Sees Success in War on Beetle in Klamath County "So clear that even a layman in experienced In woodcraft, can distin guish the controlled from the uncon trolled area." This Is the finding of Paul T. Keen, government entomologist of Palo Alt,o and formerly stationed In fKlaninth FallB, who has Just com pleted an exhaustive survey of the pine beetlo infestation situation in Klamath and Lake counties. "There Is no doubt about the suc cess of control of tho pine beetle," Mr. Keen emphasized. "During the past few weeks I have been engaged in field inspection work for the spe cific purpose of ascertaining whether or not the control work in this ter ritory has proved a success. ".My observations disclosed re markable success in the only success ful method in controlling the men ace to our pine forests. The line of demarcation between the area sub jected to control operations And the area on which no control work has been instituted, is so clear thtt ven the layman can see tho difference. In nome sections where there has been no control work, the loss is very ser ous." Mr. Keen Inaugurated , the pine beetlo controy work in Klamath county.
