Make A House That Will Build Well on a Narrow City Lot A i Flve-iloom Haute No. S23 "WIS is the tvpe of simple dignified TVJl liouse that is always a Rood invest- 111L11L. It is that knowledge that every nook and corner was planned to your say-so and to your conven ience. It makes the plaee the one spot in the world that was built according to your specifications. For a Home that is a Home in all the word implies, Consult H. R. Perrin "For Economical Building" 209 Hopka Bldg. Phone 250-J Support the tree planting campaign t lovers. It was designed especially for a narrow city lot and may be placed on as small a frontage as thirty-five feet. If, however, a driveway to a Karagc is required, forty feet will be necessary. The simple gabled side with an offset for the entrance presents a homey and comfortable appearance. A good choice of brick, the mortar joint, and the bond pattern is all that is neces sary to make this house a jewel in the landscape. A striking feature of this plan is the break fast nook which opens into the dining room with French doors at one end, and into the kitchen at the other the most practical and convenient spot in the house. With the side board beyond, the table may be set without a Blep. This arrangement also gives an extra seat nt the end of the tabic not obtainable in the usual alcove. Also a fine place for the kiddies, when company is being entertained at the big table. l iVnc i! for American Face Bridk Association As the entrance is at the side of the house, half way from the. front, it allows uninterrupted space in the front for living quarters, and makes possible a small hall with direct connection to the bedrooms. The entrance leads through a vestibule to the central hall, in which is a convenient coat closet. The living room lias a splendid fireplace with bookcases at either side, and opens on a sun parlor and a porch, making it a delightfully light and airy spot. The bedrooms and bath are well separated from the rest of the house. The kitchen is exceptionally well arranged and has two cabinets, one over the ice box, in place of a pantry. There is space in the attic for a good sized room that can be used as a play-room, billiard room or bed room, and plenty of storage space. The basement is well-lighted and provides ample room for furnace, coal room, laundry and fruit cellar. The ceiling height on the first floor is 8 feet and ti inches, and 8 feet on the second floor. The content of the house is 31,250 cubic feet SHASTA VIEW . .Thu teachem gave a HalUwa'en party at the Shasta View nhooi house Friday evening which waJ enjuyed by tho children and paronta M well as a fox frjm Malln.
