to Grand Jury
With an accumulation of criminal
matters and private Investigations
that may lend to serious consequenc
es on their hands, tho grand jury
started this morning on the second
day of its called session.
Unverified reports that Inevitably
accompany a grand Jury meeting
were to the effect that the investi
gativo body labored all day yester
day and part of this morning to de
termine whether or not a true bill
should bo returned against Lus Sau
cedo. who is held In jail under a
charge of first degree murder In con
nection .with tho murder of Floren
tine Is'nvarro.
Another probe, which is common
gossip up and down tho corridors of
the county court house. Is one which
It Is said will bo directed against
William Cole. "Hap" Urookfield. it
Is reported, will appear before the
grand Jury and complain against
Colo, holding that Cole shot at htm
on tho Merrill rond last Saturday
night, whllo ho (Brook(leld) was on
his way back to Klamath Falls.
Cole this morning said that he at
tempted to stop Brookfiold on tho
road, but when Brookfield failed to
stop fired four shots into the air.
Brookfield, it is reported, will claim
that Cole shot at his car.
