Bounty on Coyotes
YRBKA, Sallf.. Sept. it, (Spe
cial to Tho Herald.) Siskiyou will
have a bounty ol $5 each on coyotes

plans materialize.
When the board of supervisors al
located the general fund for the com

payment of the bounty, which has
been urged by the granges of Sis

against coyotes has been carried on
tor many months by stnte nnd fed
eral agents.
While the bounty was not fixed,
it Is understood that at the October
meeting the bounty will be fixed to
toko effect November 1.
The coyote question is rapidly be
coming serious in Siskiyou where
the dfuradations of the animals have
steadily increased since the bounty
was removed more than a year ago
in an effort to reduce the county's
budget.
