Big Boxing Card Scheduled Here For Evening of September Fourth Earl Ritchie, Klamath heavyweight, will meet Sammy Olson, California mauler, in the main event of a boxing card scheduled for the night of September 4th., by the municipal boxing commission. Announcement of the opening of the fall cards was made today by Match maker Brown. Brown is now lining up the remainder of his card, which promises to be better than the bouts offered early this summer. If the Klamath fans give boxing real support, the commission and matchmaker will bring many of the best boys on the Pacific coast here this fall and winter. (P) President QoJaltdge today ap proved a tentative budget for next yoar appropriations, culling for u reduction of $20,000,000 over this yewr. Director Lord of the budget, pre sented the estimates wuleh came with the figure dijrected by Mr. Cool ldgo in his address at the business meeting of the government. Although the data was not made public, it is understood that the army and navy will hear a good portion of the cut in next year's appropriation's. President Coolidge has declared he believed an ade quate defense could be maintained ut less expense.
