J. J. Monroe from Modoc coun
ty. Calif. j and Elmer Ahlstrom from
Klamath Palls, visited at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Barry Tues
day. Mr. Monroe was a former
teacher of Mrs. Barry's at Lake
view. .
Mrs. R. H.. Anderson received
word that her mother, who suf
fered a fractured hip several
months ago, was in' Lane hospital,
San Francisco, and had -stood the
trip very well. A diagnosis showed
she was ' also suffering from two
cracked ribs.
" A message was ' received in Mer
rill telling of the death . of Mrs.
Ramsby; . Mrs. Ramsby was the
mother of Mrs. S. E. Martin, for-

ath Falls today from the Univer
sity of Oregon, where he took his1
degree at the recent graduation ex
ercises. Houston was prominent in
student activities during his uni
versity career, and was a member
of Phi Gamma Delta. He will enter
the Insurance business with John
H. Houston.

Miss Maybeile Leavltt has return
ed from the University of Oregon,
where she took her degroe in Journ
alism as the clone of the spring
term. Miss Leavltt is a graduate of
the local high school, and was a
member of Phi Beta PI on the uni
versity campus, ,
