been shattered and much damage
has been done to crops throughout
the east and middle west In the
most prolonged severe, late spring
freezes in history, ft may be sev

turn to normal, the weather bureau
says, adding to damage caused by
rain, hall and snow after the heat
wave Saturday. Frosts the last two
nights have cut the value of grain.
